Our founder knows the struggles of foster care firsthand. Having experienced life in the foster care system, she understands how challenging it is to feel stable and secure when basic necessities like clean clothes, diapers, and school supplies are often unavailable. This is the reality for many children in foster care today. At any given time, there are between 8,000 and 10,000 children in foster care in Massachusetts, and nationally, more than 424,000 children face similar challenges.
